It is important for the condition and well-functioning of the ventilation system that the system is maintained regularly, depending on the location of the object. If the ventilated object is located in a city, town or by a busy road, the ventilation device must be serviced at least twice a year. In sparsely populated areas, one maintenance per year is sufficient.

During regular maintenance, the filters of the ventilation unit are replaced, the element of the heat exchanger is cleaned and the inside of the unit is cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACING FILTERS

  1. Switch off the ventilation unit and the ventilation unit fuses to prevent electric shock. Preferably wear a dust mask to prevent heavy dust particles and other unnecessary inhalation. It is also advisable to wear work clothes or a disposable protective suit to prevent soiling.
  2. Open the ventilation door of the device (see manufacturer’s maintenance instructions).
  3. Remove old filters. We recommend placing the old filters in the same box as the new filters were brought. Placing dirty filters in a box will also help prevent volatile dust from entering the room. The box with dirty filters can be taken to a regular garbage container.
  4. If the appliance has a removable heat exchanger, remove it and vacuum/clean it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This ensures regular operation of the heat exchanger and saves energy due to the additional heating of the air (see the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions). NOTE! Avoid damaging the lamin or the surface of the heat exchanger!
  5. Clean the inside of the appliance with a vacuum cleaner or carefully wipe it clean (see the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions).
  6. Replace the heat storage. Note! Avoid damaging the lamin or the surface of the heat exchanger!
  7. Install new filters. Make sure that the new filters are installed in the correct wind direction (“AIR FLOW” arrow on the filter frame), check the direction of air flow from the manufacturer’s service manual if necessary.
  8. Close the device door.
  9. Switch on the fuses and the appliance and make sure that the appliance starts correctly without any warning lights. Be patient. Depending on the type of device, it may take up to 20 minutes for the device to start operating.

If the list above seems too complicated to you, or you don’t have the will or the time, we’ll do it for you.
